Many people assume abuse means that physical violence is happening, but that’s not always the case! Abuse comes in many forms — it’s not just physical. Abuse does not discriminate. Anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender can be a victim – or perpetrator. It can happen to people who are married, living together or who are dating. It affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels. With abuse so rampant in today’s society, abuse would have effects on our marriages and families.
During this The Haven Marriage Center, Inc’s Thought Forum participants explore various forms of abuse and the longstanding negative impact it brings to the marriage. Information is provided to reveal what sustains abuse and how it can be unintentionally transferred down to the children and create a dark web. The purpose of this Thought Forum is to aid in cultivating healing, breaking unhealthy cycling, and creating new cycles to create stronger healthier families for generations to come.
Thought Forum Courses are available to private, public, and Christian organizations and corporations who would like to offer wellness enrichment to their employees.
